The fabulous Columbia Mountain Institute is welcoming me back to present a hands-on bioacoustic workshop. Join me April 10-12, 2024 in Revelstoke, BC for a fast-paced introductory course. Participants will learn the basics of acoustic physics and animal behaviour, plan surveys, get key points for equipment and software investment, get hands-on maintenance and programming equipment, review data for errors, build dataset management, and practice basic and advanced analysis techniques. Students will interact with a variety of devices from well-known brands (Wildlife Acoustics, Open Acoustic Devices, Titley Scientific) and analysis software functions with expert support.
