Cochrane Public Library recently released their fall program! How exciting. You’ll never guess who’s making an appearance… That’s right, I’m ecstatic to announce I will be collaborating with the library on some great events, see the list below.

 

The team at Cochrane Public Library have been incredible to plan with. Amazingly creative, enthusiastic, and engaged. They know their community and work tirelessly to deliver excellent services. Event Collaborations:

Fireside Chat: Backyard Stories

Date: Wednesday, September 20, 2023 – 6:15-7:15pm
Audience: Broad, all ages. Usually adults but promoted as a family-friendly talk.
What if a nature documentary was happening in your backyard? Spend some time with Wildlife Biologist and Animal Communication specialist, Tyne Baker. You’ll learn all about the hidden behaviours and mysteries of wild species that call Cochrane home too.

Apocalypse Meow

Date: Friday, October 13, 2023 – 2-3pm
Audience: Grade 9-12
Discover how you can eavesdrop on animals to find food, shelter and more to survive the hoard. Will you pick the right path towards shelter, or get eaten by a cougar around the corner?
 

Sense-sational Nature

Dates: Monday, October 23 & Monday, November 20, 2023 – 2-2:45pm
Audience: Grades 5-8, Grades 1-4 (respective to dates).
Young explorers will embark on a sensory journey to decode the secrets of wild animals. Guessing animal sounds, matching tracks to the animal, and even sniffing mystery scents to uncover nature’s hidden wonders – it’s an interactive, educational experience to inspire curiosity in our wildest neighbours.
